Wow! What a day, it was clearly a great start, to our World of work week.
As a class we had a visit from Mike, who is a "Rugby Coach Development Officer" who even works with the Dragons! Mike spoke to us about Rugby and Football, and then we went on to discuss the differences. Mike made it clear that in order to achieve, we need to aim high and work hard. He told us if we try our best, then we would be rewarded.
Mike was a great guy, who really excited and enthused the class, with their plans for the future. He has a passion for his job and commitment to the sport.
Also within the school there was an air hostess, but sadly she didn’t get to our class as she had to fly to Sydney! She is certainly going up in the world!
Following this as a class we discussed and thought about the future and the jobs we are going to have. One member of the class asked me – “Mr Davies what are you going to do when you grow up?” I still haven’t worked out whether that is an insult or a compliment!
In amongst all that we looked at how shops make a profit and the different skeleton structures of animals. It was a busy day!
I simply can’t wait until tomorrow, as we have another two people coming in to discuss their jobs. You’ll have to look out for the next blog.
See you soon
